Perricoota Station Wedding Carla and Marty

“Working in the wedding industry for a number of years I have seen all types of wedding videographers chosen by couples. Having known Geoff from Motion Art over that time and seeing his passion for videography and his thirst for capturing that moment in such a creative way it was an absolute must that we have him film our day. Nothing was too difficult for him. Not even the logistics involved with an interstate outback venue of Perricoota Station in northern Victoria. He made us feel comfortable, let us have our moments and reminded us to enjoy our day. Geoff is able to reinvent his styles and find new ways in each of his videos to capture and impress! We can not thank him enough!”

“After getting engaged we set ourselves the goal of organising our wedding day in six months time. Although challenging we still enjoyed planning and piecing together a day we would remember for the rest of our lives. Not content with the challenge of a few months to organise our wedding we added a dimension of a destination wedding and gratefully accepted help from our nearby family with the finer details of the day.”

“Searching for a wedding dress you would think a visit to every store from Gold Coast to Brisbane would be in order, but this was not the case for me. I happened to find it in the first store I visited and it was the fourth dress I tried on. I knew it was the one right then and there. Mum made an alteration to the dress by adding beautiful cap sleeves which completed the look I was wanting.”

“The cake planning was fun. We weren’t after your traditional style cake and we ended up taking some ideas from a children’s cake menu. After our meet with Tracy from Tracy’s Cakes we were confident of her baking, and her vigilance in ensuring the cake was right for the day. To her credit challenges of heat and corrugated dirt roads getting to the reception did not affect the end product. It was delicious.”

“I woke the morning of the wedding day with about four hours of broken sleep, but it was not a bother as I knew I was to marry Marty that day. The day that starts the new journey in our lives. All preparations were going to plan except for the heat with the weather completely out of our control mother nature threw us our only wobbly with ceremony temps of 43 and photo temps of 46. Anticipating this the bridesmaids had frozen face washers and napkins at every spare minute to ease heat. Thank you girls! Well done boys too with suits and tie’s in over 40 degrees!”

“Perricoota Station was amazing. A wedding venue with timeless rustic charm. Dating back to the 1800’s it is a restored fruit packing shed like no other function centre. The best part of the venue is the large deck overlooking the Murray River which was well used with the sunset and late breeze that came in. The flowers by Wallingford flowers finished the room beautifully.”

“My makeup was by Chantelle from GC Makeup & Tan was perfect and to top that off she was my maid of honour, touch-ups all day long, I was very spoilt!”
