Links Hope Island Wedding Kaitlyn and Dan

“We chose Motion Art after looking through a lot of wedding highlight videos online and doing a lot of research! The Links Hope Island as well as Rezolution Photography recommended Motion Art to us and we just fell in love with their work. It took me a bit of convincing to talk Dan around to it as he thought it would feel awkward being in front of the camera all day, but on the day neither of us barely even knew they were there.”

“Dan was the first to watch our highlight video and he said the memories and feelings he felt on the day came alive again. He was so impressed with how much Motion Art was able to capture and how it was all put together. Just like we were in a romantic movie of our own and I couldn’t agree with him more! Everyone who watched it had tears in their eyes. It was just so beautiful!”

“We chose Links Hope Island as our wedding venue because it is such a beautiful location. We first fell in love with the fountain in the middle of the reception area since we thought it’s pretty rare and special to have a fountain to dress up your reception. We thought this would help to give our wedding the ‘wow’ factor. Which it did! The venue’s colours are also fairly neutral which we really loved about the place. This gave us the opportunity to make the entire venue really come alive with our styling.”

“It was also incredibly awesome to have the whole venue to ourselves for the wedding. There was so much space and a huge outdoor area where everyone could sneak out for some peace and quiet and a conversation away from the music when they needed to.”

“Another one of the highlights we fell in love with was the Venetian Bridge as you enter the Links. It’s just amazing and we could see so many beautiful photograph opportunities throughout the whole venue. Dan and I actually got engaged in Las Vegas at the Venetian while we were taking a ride on the indoor canal which replicates Venice so we took the Venetian Bridge at the Links was a sign!”

“When we first visited the Links we were taken on a tour of some possible photography locations – after all, this was one of the most important attributes that our wedding venue had to have, good photo opportunities! The last place we were taken to was the Lakeside Terrace and my creative visions started to come together – this was the PERFECT spot for our ceremony!”

“The staff were amazing. Sam was so awesome and she didn’t mind my one million pesky questions. They were so accommodating for us to get in and start styling the venue the day before which was a HUGE job, but so worth it in the end to have exactly what we wanted. I could not fault the food either, we had so many compliments, it was really delicious! The entire venue fitted us perfectly and if I could do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing!”

“My dress was a beautiful Maggie Sottero princess gown with a huge train. When I first tried it on I knew it was the one! I loved it so much I convinced myself I would never want to take it off and that I would dance the night away in it. Well I certainly danced the night away in it, but wow was it heavy!! Everyone was amazed that I was still bopping around up until midnight when they felt how heavy it was. I couldn’t wait to get it off by the end of the night, so to any future brides I recommend if you’re going to have a huge gown, get a second dress for the reception!”

“One of the huge highlights of our day was our first look. Seeing each other for the first time before the wedding in private was just so nice. We were able to have those initial shock emotions to ourselves so we could relax a little before we were in front of everyone. Dan and I are both extremely emotional people so I honestly don’t think we would have got through the ceremony and our vows without seeing each other prior.”

“The entire wedding was better than we ever dreamed of and a lot of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had so much fun planning it, I don’t know why everyone always says it’s so stressful and they can’t wait until it’s over. We enjoyed every moment, and as my Dad said to me “Your wedding isn’t just one day, it’s the entire experience of planning it and seeing it come together, it may get stressful but that’s all part of the journey so enjoy every minute”. I lived by that while planning the wedding and for a while after it was all over we didn’t know what to do with ourselves!”

“To any future Brides make sure you view your wedding as an entire journey not just one day and you will enjoy it so much more. I can honestly say I didn’t get stressed once on the day and we had a blast! At the end of the day all you have left of the best day of your life is the memories. All you want to do is relive it over and over again. Photos are awesome, but when you can actually watch your ceremony and reception anytime you like that is something you just can’t put a price on.”
