Shell has been a friend of mine for four years now. So of course when she invited me to the wedding I asked to have the honor in filming it as well. Their ceremony and reception was held at Toparies at Beaumont – not far from Brisbane.
It was the second time in a week that I worked along side Steven of Urbaneyes Photography and I managed to get some more use out of my new camera, the Canon 5d Mark II. There’s a few shots in the video that look stunning with this camera. The song is “Spend a Lifetime” by Jamiroquai – one of Shell’s favorites.

Jo & Chris were married at St Pauls Anglican Church in Ipswich with their reception at the Ipswich International Hotel.
By pure luck I was available to film this wedding and Jo and I kept in constant contact about her big day. I worked with Donovan from Rickards Photographics for the first time and with perfect weather we put together a great photo shoot.
The reception had some funny moments with Hugh, of Total DJ Hire, directing a few games between the bride and groom…one which you will see snippet of at the end of this video clip. The second song of the video was actually Jo & Chris’ entrance song to the party. Never heard it before, but it’s catchy!

I think Sheree and Adam were one of the most excitable couples I have ever had the pleasure in filming for. Definitely the first two to dance out of their ceremony and then again into their reception! They are from Melbourne and this was a holiday wedding for them.
They had the big event at Robina Woods on the Gold Coast – a venue I know pretty well. With Derek, from Derek Smith photography, we had a ball during the bridal party photos and it shows in the video. Also watch out for the page boys in the beginning of the clip – some great shots there.

Jolene & Scott were married at St Augustine’s Church in Hamilton and had their reception at Victoria Park Golf Complex. One of the nights’ big highlights was the great view we had of the fireworks for Riverfire in Brisbane.
Jolene has been a fan of the videos I have done in the past and we have corresponded so much over the past few months that we have become friends. Which gave me some added pressure to make a video that truly portrayed the emotion of the day. Although she made it quite easy at times being excited as she was. Her reaction peeking around the dress in the beginning was priceless!
The song is by One Republic and it’s called “Say.” I even play on the words when I could. See if you can spot it. I know some out there are waiting for me to add this to my Facebook business page, but they won’t allow the video to upload.
I used my Sony Z7 for this shoot and toyed with my new Canon 5d Mark II for some of the bridal prep shots in the beginning. You can view this video in High Definition if you click the HD button within the video window. You will then be directed to Vimeo.com where I host the clips.
