Fiona & John were married at St Augustine’s Church in Hamilton, Queensland. With their reception at the Downtown Rugby Club in Brisbane’s CBD. ‘Amazed’ by Lonestar was also their bridal waltz.

Fiona, a mother of two, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April and was given six months to live. All she wanted was to marry her partner of five years in a low key affair. However after her story was published in the local media various wedding suppliers offered to donate their time to help give Fiona & Paul the wedding of their dreams. My other videographer, Barbara, and I were eager to jump on board as well.
It rained off and on before the ceremony, but right before they exchanged rings the sun came out and beamed right on their hands. It was an amazing sight and you will see it in the short highlight clip of their day above.
In this video is Monique Berryman, of Runway Makeup Artistry, who first told me about this incredible couple and she also donated her time and talent on the day.
A photographer from Woman’s Day Magazine was also at the ceremony as they were doing a story of this wonderful event. There was also a write up in the Gold Coast Bulletin which can be seen here.
***(Update) – A friend has commented in the area below on December 7th, 2009 that Fiona has passed. Our condolences to her friends and family. It was a privilege to be a small part of Fiona & Paul’s special day.

Sharon & Ben were married at St Stephen’s Cathedral in Brisbane and had their reception at Victoria Park Golf Complex. I really enjoyed filming this wedding and did so along side a photographer I have worked with many times before, Martin Mikeska, from Creative Vision Photography.
I don’t know why, but I am getting obsessed with matching the beat of the music to eye blinking. Every time I hear “Halo” by Beyonce I think of this video. Just the nature of editing pieces like this I think. Enjoy!

Rebecca & Robert had their ceremony and reception at Lakelands Golf Club on the Gold Coast. For one of the first days of winter it was pretty warm and everything flowed so smoothly. I had a laugh over the bouquet toss as the girls jockeyed for position. One of more aggressive groups I have seen! Have a look!
